Our client, a Global Consumer Products Company seeks a take-charge individual who will be the Director of Distribution / Warehouse Operations for their Pennsylvania location. Individual will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensure all order processing, transportation scheduling, and shipping coordination schedules are met to meet customer requirements and that their expectations are satisfied. Provide vision and guidelines to ensure all warehouse operational guidelines, safety compliance and protocols are adhered to, productivity standards are maintained and continuous improvement and new ways of operating are part of the operating culture.
Additionally, evaluate existing operations to recommend and implement improvements affecting productivity, accuracy, quality and service level. Ensure all operating areas are configured for maximum productivity. Develop and coach management teams to improve and maintain a productive and efficient operation, this is a non-union environment. Develop the annual operating budget and 3 year plan for the site's operational needs and safety programs. Maintain or enhance inventory control systems that will improve material flow and track inventory accuracy.
Individual desired shoud have a BS degree, and minimum 10 years experience in warehouse / distribution of high volume consumer products utilizing automated picking systems. Previous Supervisory / Management experience managing hourly, exempt and supervisory personnel in a non-union environment is required. Excellent interpersonal skills essential. SAP experience preferred.
