ACCOUNT SALES EXECUTIVE
Responsible for chemical sales in a mainly southern US sales territory. Will ensure that sales volumes and profit targets are met by maximizing the value for all company products
Works out of his/her home in southern U.S. Houston, Atlanta, and Charlotte are ideal locations. A company car and office supplies will be provided. The position requires 4 days a week visiting accounts and 1 day in the home office to do reports, planning, fill out expense reports, set appointments, forecasting, and so on. Develop necessary relationships with customers within the assigned responsibilities to insure that sales objectives are met (volume and maximum value).
Manage accounts and set priorities to accomplish sales volume and prices.
Manage expense budget that will be determined by the Natl. Sales Manager
Manage company resources at each account (technical services, marketing, management, other).
Forecast sales volumes and prices by account for the upcoming period and realize these sales
Establish all necessary relationships at all levels of the organization to accomplish company sales goals.
Provide day-to-day information about sales directions, new applications being developed by processors, competitive activities, product requirements, and other customer requirements.
Coordinate all company resources at the customer level.
Uncover new accounts and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university / college
Minimum 5 years sales experience in specialty chemicals or polymers, having shown business growth and increased margin
Excellent sales skills
Ability to work independently
A sales philosophy based on product value
Ability to work across Japanese-American cultural lines
