Seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with experience in a family-owned and operated business to direct the operational functions in an established and growing retail/wholesale business. to ensure maximum achievement of revenue, profit and other company goals. The COO reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for the company’s day to day operating activities in support of the company’s long-range goals, objectives and policies.
Responsibilities of the COO:
  • Ensure the company vision, mission and core values are represented and articulated in decision making by the COO and their team.
  • Spearhead the improvement of organization structure, processes, and systems necessary to manage current operations and projected growth. Be a change agent for the utilization of KPI’s in managing performance.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on operations management o maximize profitability, customer service and productivity.
  • Ensure that responsibilities for subordinates are defined and understood. 
  • Develop and install communications procedures and controls to promote adequate information flow across the organization. 
  • Ensure organizational accountability.  Analyze and report on operations to evaluate performance of the company and staff in meeting objectives. Determine areas of potential cost reduction, service improvement or policy change. 
  • Direct the preparation of plans, budgets and capital expenditure requests to plot a course for achieving corporate goals and growth objectives.
  • Recruit, lead, motivate, mentor and coach senior management teams to develop high performing talent within the organization.
Requirements of the COO:
  • 10+ years in an Executive Leadership role
  • Experience working in a family-owned and operated business
  • Demonstrated experience that showcases your history in accurately quantifying risk
  • Ability to guide the organization through change

Compensation for the COO:
  • Base salary $120,000 - $150,000
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
