A mid-cap chemical company is looking for a Reliability Engineer with an electrical engineering focus to work at their chemical plant in Savannah. This person will be supervising six employees and needs to have a background in PLC's, rotating equipment, and high voltage equipment.
In general they are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering along with 3 years of experience applying reliability concepts in manufacturing settings. They will want someone to have 2 years of supervisor experience, union experience preferred. They also want someone with knowledge of quality and reliability engineering standards as well as best practices that apply to manufacturing operations. You should be able to lead and perform root cause analyses and incident investigations and have effective business communication skills (oral, written, instructional and presentation).
This role will manage all aspects of the plants mechanical integrity program including developing repair plans and contractor oversight of inspections and repairs. You will also advise and assist planners and supervisors on inspection requirements and repairs and provides reliability improvement strategies and take appropriate action to eliminate recurring failures.
