Inside Sales Account Manager - Chemicals - Chicago
Our client, an entrepreneurial growth oriented global specialty chemical manufacturer is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Inside Sales Account Manager to work from their Chicago area headquarters office. This highly collaborative position will work closely with the sales team, focusing on supporting existing business as well as prospecting and developing new projects through proactive outreach.
Manage all sales activities for assigned specialty chemical accounts by using the telephone, email, and other technology resources.
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up, develop and cultivate customer relationships to ensure regular orders, grow revenues and meet business team objectives.
Work to understand customer needs and requirements.
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest in the company’s specialty chemicals.
Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory.
Collaborate with other company functions to meet business objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or related discipline.
2-10 years experience in industrial inside sales, marketing or customer service preferably from a chemical or industrial manufacturing background.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong phone presence and enthusiasm to engage with multiple customers per day.
Well-developed listening and presentation skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Experience using CRM software and Microsoft office.
MUST be able to work and thrive in entrepreneurial environment
