Our client is a global, leading manufacturer specializing in consumer products and specialty chemicals. We are searching for a Regional Marketing Manager (North America) to join their Marketing Team in their Central, NJ headquarters. The general focus of this position will be developing and effectively managing the company’s consumer products care marketing program in North America. More specifically, this role is responsible for defining marketing opportunities and creating, executing and managing both short and long term plans, campaigns and programs to meet these needs. The core job functions are in Strategic Planning and Management, Sales and Customer Engagement, Promotional, Project/Event Management, and Supervisory including:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the North American strategic marketing plan: Anticipate and understand 1-3 year market trends. Collate market information, trend data and undertake market research to deepen the understanding of the market sector in order to support strategy development. Integral part of the process which determines the strategy for the regional market sector for the next 1-3 years and communicates the plans back to the relevant parties.
Define market opportunities and drive sales support activities balancing the requirements of annual goals with longer term business development.
Create and manage marketing communication campaigns to leverage the company’s various brands and corporate brand identity within the marketplace
Provide training to sales for the effective promotion of new products, applications and market segment trends.
Encourage and assimilate sales staff follow-ups on major promotions, new product launches and related efforts.
Provide technical support to queries asked by customers, through the sales staff.
Provide leads/data to sales obtained from marketing campaigns, sampling activity and other marketing databases and activities.
Oversee and participate in the creation of marketing communication materials, including but not limited to advertisements, brochures, press releases, emailers, e-seminars, technical articles, and videos, to assist the company in the promotion of its relevant business areas, key technologies and corporate messages in all relevant marketing channels.
Lead the development of annual plans to incorporate exhibition & conference attendance, customer road shows, PR, advertising, development of sales tools/training and promotional initiatives.
Oversee the coordination and organization of relevant marketing activities for the company’s presence at trade shows, hotel seminars and any other customer-centered promotions or events.
Supervise regional marketing team: coordinate work assignments, review and approve marketing materials, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Coaching and mentoring professional development of team members.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing or Business
Minimum 7 years of personal care related experience with sales, marketing and lab experience preferred
Excellent communications and presentation skills are essential
Ability to navigate Internet search engines proficiently for market research purposes
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate internally to achieve objectives
Self-motivated individual must be able to work after job assignment with minimum direct supervision.
Up to 25% travel is required
