WHY YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED
Our client is growing and they are in need of strong engineering talent for their group in Cedar Rapids, IA. They are an engineering and technology firm with multiple patents. The company is currently engaged in some major multi million dollar projects and have more coming up. You will be one of solid team of Engineers and Project Managers working out of this office. Seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
You will be responsible for detailed Process Engineering activities. Will be accountable for all aspects of a typical Schedule A engineering package, including P&ID development, detailed calculations, simulations, systems capacity sizing, design specs, equipment layout and more. You will also be expected to assist during start up activities.
There will be approximately 40% travel to customer sites, mostly in the Midwest. Travel ranges from some weeks with no travel and then some weeks 3 - 4 days of on site project work. The most the team would be spending on site is 3 weeks during a start-up, which is only once or max twice a year. We would send them home for the weekend and then go back out. But, again this is only once, max twice a year. As we build our team, this should cut down.
