Our client, a global manufacturer of materials for plastics compounding, requires an experienced Technical Sales Representative to work from a home office location in the Eastern United States.
Develop new sales opportunities to meet strategic objectives for plastic colorants and master batches.
Manage assigned account base to achieve sales revenue budgets.
Maximize profitability by managing market pricing and competitive pricing actions.
Manage target customer project pipelines.
Develop productive relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
Collaborate with Customer Service, R&D, Marketing and Production to meet customer requirements.
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and prepare all necessary sales reports and analyses.
Submit ideas to R&D for product improvement and new product development.
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Business or related areas.
At least 2 years of successful industrial sales experience promoting polymer or chemical technology to the plastics industry.
Financial skills to create and analyze sales reports and related business documents.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel as much as 60% of the time to visit clients, attend industry events, etc.
