DescriptionLeading International Manufacturer of Consumer / Medical Products seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager who will be part of an expanding department supporting Worldwide Businesses with the Strategic Sourcing of various types of Resins (PE, PP, PET) Be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing, strategy formulations, development support, supplier relationship management, long-term procurement initiatives, and drive change on overall related sourcing activities. Responsible for $150+ million spent annually.
Individual desired must have a BS degree and minimum 10 years purchasing experience combined with strategic sourcing exp. of various types of resins for inhouse molding operations. Must be able to understand the impact that sourcing will have on global manufacturing operations and the ultimate positive bottom line impact it will have on the respective businesses. Any industry experience is fine as long as it is manufacturing oriented and products bought are resins for manufacturing operations. Must have experience with sourcing strategy development, strong contract negotiations expertise, good leadership / influencing skills and be able to see the business approach to the strategic sourcing process. Excellent interpersonal skills essential.
